1918 Rare Liberty WW1 Crystal Set Radio, Model BC-14 A Receiver

All Original Crystal Set Liberty Electric BC-14A RADIO Receiving Set w/ Western Electric 509 Headphones. The radio is in wonderful original condition. Still retains 90%+ of it's original green paint on the exterior of the case. The Liberty radio was not painted on the inside of the case and shows the full wood grain. It was tempting to dismantel the set to clean and polish the bakelite and brass but I'll leave that to the new owner if he or she so desires. Low serial number of #934. Included with the set is the original replacement "cat whisker" wires in wooden case still packed in the cotton. Also included are the headphones that were with the set when found, very desirable 509 WE. These headphones are well known for their quality when using with crystal era radios. The greatest thing about this set is that it still works! Simply connect the headphones, insert the 1.5v cell, turn the buzzer coil on and find the sweet spot on the crystal, turn off the buzzer and start sweeping the band. (Don't forget the Antennae and ground of course). These units seldom come up for sale, especially the Liberty Electric model. This set will be well packaged.
