White House Bicentennial Badge 1792-1992 US Secret Service MINT REAL #963

What I would like all of you to know is that I am not a collector, I just happen to be the lucky son of a great American patriot. My father served in the United States Secret Service as a Counter Sniper for over 20 years. He has collected many things while serving, with no intention to sell anything. This badge, among other Presidential and Secret Service items, have been apart our family since I can remember. To make a long story short, it's time to part with a few things, no matter how much sentimental value they hold. So lets get down to business: Offered is a limited edition gold-plated Secret Service Commemorative Badge. This badge, honoring the White House Bicentennial, was available for sale only to members of the Secret Service, making them extremely rare to find in private hands. The "Bicentennial Badge" measures 2.5" x 3.25" and reads "WHITE HOUSE BICENTENNIAL" in gilt lettering across the top. Bas-relief images of the Presidential Seal and the White House adorn the center. The verso reads: "This badge is commissioned by the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division and worn by its members during the 200th Anniversary of the White House. G.R. Davis Ltd." Below that reads the number "0963". The pin-backed badge is in Mint condition and was actually worn in the ceremony by my father (A retired US SS agent). A very rare offering of an exquisitely crafted badge from the elite Secret Service. Each Secret Service Agent was allowed to buy ONE and only ONE within 4 weeks of the Bicentennial Ceremony. This badge is so uncommon I am having trouble putting a value on it. (Which is why I am reluctant to place a "buy-it now" option) I am using the auction system of E Bay to possibly lay down the foundation of worth for future elite American artifacts. This is one of the few other (different) Secret Service AUTHENTIC badges I will be putting up for auction. These are a collector's dream if you love the rarest items on the planet. I tried searching for this badge for countless hours and only found a few reproductions for sale....
